What is the CPO^® Program?

The Certified Pool Operator^® CPO^®  program delivers training to the pool and spa operator through a structured educational program. The CPO^® program is the most widely accepted training program in the world and is widely accepted by health departments.

In many states it is now regulated that a pool operator be certified in public water facilities.

The CPO^® program includes the Certified Pool-Spa Operator^® handbook that is updated annually to reflect new information from the pool and spa industry.

The two day CPO^® certification course is a 14-16 hour training program that encompasses classroom lecture, interaction from students, work through several calculations and take a written open book final exam to test your knowledge. Upon passing the final exam you receive a certificate, wallet card, and patch from the National Swimming Pool Foundation^® (NSPF^®) and be registered as a
Certified Pool - Spa Operator^® CPO^® for a period of five years. Includes CPO^® Pool-Spa Handbook, handouts, and fees. Certification is valid for 5 years.
