December 19, 2008: Federal anti-entrapment law is now in effect. All public and residential swimming pools and spas must be compliant as of this date.
September 27, 2008:Swim Pool Safe will be updating the customer area with new content, newsletters for current customers, tools for customers. A separate newsletter is in the works for general viewing. Return often for updates.
September 5, 2008: Now earn education credit. Beginning in September 2008 students can receive Continuing Education Units (CEU) upon successfully completing a 2-day course or the online course (access code required). Earn 1.8 CEU Credit for the 2-day course and 0.9 CEU Credit for the online course. Credit is issued by IACET who approved the NSPF CPO certification program.
May 28, 2008:Swim Pool Safe has launched with great success our very own Pool Math Primer class. This half day class concentrates on the pool and spa math formulas used in the certified pool operator program. Students completing this course feel more comfortable performing the numerous essential calculations used throughout the two day CPO certification course.

January 2, 2008: The federal government has now entered the pool and spa industry by passing federal legislation known as the “Virginia Graeme Baker Pool and Spa Safety Act”. This act came about since there is an increased number of children and young adults drowning in swimming pools and spas due to lack of properly installed anti-entrapment main drain covers. October 1, 2007:Swim Pool Safe has taught many CPO® classes this year and is proud to release a new and updated web site with more products and a new online store making it easier for students to enroll and make purchases. The 2008 CPO® course schedule is now released and students can begin enrolling. See schedule. New for 2008 will be Swim Pool Safe Homeowner Training class that will be taught in the classroom or get the personnal touch with your own personal training specific to your home. On-site training continues to be available for businesses and homeowners.
